Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)

A Multi Use Games Area provides a dedicated enclosed area for a range of sporting activities all year round, whatever the weather.

Create the ideal active space for football, netball, hockey, basketball and tennis on your school field or playground. Whether you are considering a new sports facility or a simple enclosed kickabout area within an existing playground, we will provide a design that meets your requirements and budget. Our range of MUGAs is a cost-effective solution for schools looking to improve on their existing facilities and will provide a long-term active sports resource within the school grounds. A Multi Use Games area is an excellent long-term use of the current PE and Sports Premium funding that will provide a long-lasting outdoor sports facility.

We offer a range of suitable sports surfaces in our MUGA installations including artificial grass, and rubber polymeric surfaces. They all provide a low-maintenance surface for a range of sports and will also allow all-weather use.

We offer a variety of enclosure fencing systems and entrance gate options for our MUGA installations. All of our enclosure systems allow the addition of recessed goal ends, basketball backboards, and targets and cricket-wickets.

Outdoor gym equipment

Edspace install a range of outdoor gym equipment specifically designed for Key Stages 1 & 2, our range of equipment is completely safe for primary school children to use. Building strength, agility and coordination in a way that is fun and enjoyable whatever their abilities.

Our active areas are normally positioned on the school field or incorporated into the route of one of our daily mile tracks. An active area provides children with the opportunity to exercise the whole body, and develop fitness, flexibility, agility, strength and technique along with control and balance.

The equipment can be used independently, in pairs or as part of a class challenge enabling children to monitor their performance over time which is not only fun but provides a sense of achievement.

Our active area equipment can be installed into a range of surfaces such as natural or artificial grass, tarmac, wet pour or rubber mulch. All of which can be installed onto a range of existing sub-bases.
