The Edspace “Mile a Day” track (Daily Mile Track) has been designed to provide an all-weather facility that is intended to be used every day by the whole school.
The daily mile track is constructed using a polyurethane bound rubber chip laid to a depth of 50mm over a geo-textile membrane. This produces a porous, resilient all weather surface normally installed around the perimeter of an existing playing field. Existing pathways or playgrounds can be incorporated into the track route to extend the distance without increasing the installation cost. The track length is normally set to ensure that an exact number of completed laps are equal to the challenge distance of 1 mile.
Deciding on the track route is quite a simple process and we use satellite technology to produce suggested routes and budget costing’s which are completely free of charge.
If you are considering the benefits of an all-weather daily track mile facility, or would like to request a remote survey just fill out our remote survey request form here or request a call back using the form below, alternatively contact us here providing the school name, address and postcode and we will provide a suggested route subject to survey quote.
The mile a day track is doing so much to improve children’s fitness, behavior and concentration in lessons that schools across the UK are getting pupils up from their desks and taking the challenge on a daily basis.
